1.
Adrift 04:57
High and far away out on a coastal mountain silver reflection water falls from the yonder hillside Sinking in mud I walk anyway to the shore through a fog of unclear thoughts Feeling like an empty shell drifting on aimlessly in a dwam it rains inside cascades on the wall hit my head shower of tears filled with glass Why donʼt we all go outside and dfrift on aimlessly once again Float lightly on a sea of stars hoping not to fall into black holes drawing us distant jarring echoes distance within myself
2.
Running faster than you imagine lástima a nadie now is time to finally rest playful spirit dancing warrior relentless fighter now is time to finally rest
3.
Habitat 01:57
In your absence i will exist diving within your quietness In my sleep weʼll meet in a dream follow your voice where it comes from? quiet whisper fading away Diving within your quietness, big thick sea of the unreal in your absence i will exist diving within your quietness
4.
Arrival 03:36
At it once again sun is no star out here words make sense no more sliding in thin ice I fall Where are you from? what’s your address? show me your passport what brought you here? please do follow with me this way wait until somebody comes Imaginary lines can be so hard to cross created to divide and conquer us Once again the rain riding on freezing wind speaks of sea and green lights on the dark skies above Imaginary lines can be so hard to cross created to divide and conquer us
5.
Dark black 03:53
Day dream in the sea Your eyes emerge dark black I feel them gazing into my soul Flower’s scent flooding the air
6.
Synecdoche 02:37
Once more emptiness prey need to wake up go outside take a walk breath it out Slowly growing from my inside out Microscopical beings singularly magical mixing of chemicals One day one shot you will get to try find a reason to get up and fight Mystery surrounds us if you care to look beyond New sounds colors vibrate around So it’s time don’t give up it is now Slowly growing from my inside out
7.
Unrelenting from the start the most subtle predator comes for your overbearing One brief moment of forestart only an instant lilliputian in the furious current of the river flowing underneath your standing ground inaudible Vibrations crossing through the warm zephyr melts in they long hair that intertwines in me Penetrating consciousness fails to reach my beating heart There’s no need to run there’s nowhere to hide no need to believe one sole certainty overbearing
8.
Your name 02:34
Thank you for staying up your shadow is glowing here An atypical eclipse unfolds on a different body Perception stretches out under the sun within us Open long sight reaching to the horizon Trying to hear your name now in between the noise that surrounds me While i reach my left hand pocket only to find sand burning my fingers Open long sight reaching to the horizon Your name calls me gently in the wind blow
9.
Ruminant 03:08
Some kind of hostile creature who devours their only god No looking back neglecting their own kind They live in the dark only redeemed by themselves go to church say their prayers Drowning their sins in holy water dumps All of us trying to survive in what is left of this place We want to know where they’re hiding Gloom skies set up on fire smoke and rot filling up the air You may think you’re safe but they’ll come for you too They live in the dark only redeemed by themselves go to church say their prayers Drowning their sins in holy water dumps

about

AXEL FILIP & MALEZA || Habitat

Led by Argentinian drummer Axel Filip, this international ensemble features Mirna Bogdanović (SL) on vocals, Mathilde Vendramin (FRA) on cello, Joakim Rainer (NO) on piano, and Lisa Hoppe (DE) on double bass. Together, they create a captivating blend of modern jazz and Argentinian music, highlighted by Mirna Bogdanović's beautiful and expressive vocals.
These compositions were written by Axel Filip between 2020 and 2022, during a period of intense experiences while living in various locations around Central and North America, Europe and Scandinavia.
As a result of these contrasting realities and being far away from his homeland, Axel drew inspiration from a diverse range of life experiences, resulting in a collection of compositions that reflect a rich tapestry of cultural and personal influences.
